This mindset pushed Alexis to accomplish many firsts. Born in the USSR, he wrote his first computer program at age 12. At 16, he spearheaded internet development in Ukraine, bringing the internet to the region for the first time. Soon after, Yushin was called to The Netherlands to work at one of the country's first internet service providers. He created NSD, a foundational program running on thousands of servers. Chances are, you've come across one of his programs.

Yushin is currently the founder and CTO of Apexive, a rapid software development agency.

ABOUT ALEXIS

Founder & CTO

Alexis founded Apexive in 2003. He got tired of seeing traditional development agencies make intentional errors at the expense of the non-technical crowd. He wanted to do things different, based on the belief that transparency triumphs. He built Apexive on an ethical business model and leads his team to create future-proof software, fast.

Pilot & Instructor

After years of driving the Dutch tech landscape forward, Yushin found a new side passion: piloting. He flew for Turkish Airlines, piloted private jets, and served as captain for Scandinavian Airlines. He got his instructor license so he could teach others to do the same. Today, Yushin instructs future pilots in a flight simulator and small planes at his home base in Puerto Rico

Music & Kitesurfing

Somewhere in between piloting and software building, Alexis dove headfirst into the music world and dreamed of being a rockstar. Music is still a big part of his life. When he's not building software, he's either kitesurfing or skydiving. What's life without some thrill?

Born in Simferopol, Krym (What used to be the USSR)
